THE AUTHOR

I am Michelle Floate; a naturopath, cookbook writer and photographer. With weight issues being personal to me throughout my life it was natural for me to become interested in diet and health from an early age. In 2003 I began my studies at Paramount College of Natural Medicine and by 2006 I opened my naturopathic clinic. I was interested in helping others with weight loss but I was a little stuck with my own weight so I concentrated on other areas of health.

On a trip to Turkey in 2010 I came to realise how unhappy I was with my body and how embarrassing it was to wear bathers. This is when I decided that enough was enough and the next time I was in this situation I would be slim and looking great in bikinis. My weight loss journey started with my low calorie bikini cookbook recipes and 5 months later I had lost 18kg bringing me to my goal weight of 55kg. Next time I was on holiday I finally got to pull out the bikinis that I had waited so long to wear.

Now I feel so happy with my body that I am confident enough to put my butt on the front cover of my books. The name of my cookbook was inspired by the joy it was to wear bikinis and this is how it became ‘the bikini cookbook’.

 

BEFORE AND AFTER

My highest weight was 73kg and after 5 months of my bikini cookbook recipes I dropped 18kg and got down to my goal weight of 55kg. I have never been more fit and healthy in my life! Now after 4 years of my bikini cookbook lifestyle I have been able to maintain a healthy weight.
